Focusing on the quality of the essence of life on Earth

This year the theme established by the United Nations for the World Water Day is "Water Quality". The date is focusing on water conditions showing that, as far as the management of water resources goes, the quality is as important as the quantity.

On March 22nd Nairobi, Kenya will hold an event to mark the World Water Day 2010 whose motto is "Clean water for a healthy world”. The event will bring together policy-makers, scientists and eminent personalities to discuss how to address the challenges of degrading water quality around the world.

Activities carried out on that date will aim to convey messages about the importance of water quality for the sustainability of healthy ecosystems and consequently for the well-being.
